A 7-Day Santorini Honeymoon Itinerary

Caldera sunsets, volcano swims and slow island mornings — a week-long plan for newlyweds in Santorini.

Santorini rewards couples who slow down. This relaxed seven-day plan balances the island's famous views with quiet time for two.

Days 1–2 — Oia

Settle into a caldera-edge suite and do very little. Watch the sunset from a private terrace rather than the crowded castle, and book a long dinner at a cliffside restaurant. Our Canaves Oia listing is a good base.

Days 3–4 — Imerovigli & Fira

Walk the caldera path between Imerovigli and Fira at golden hour. Charter a private catamaran for the afternoon — swim at the Red and White beaches, snorkel the hot springs near the volcano, and toast with sparkling wine on deck.

Day 5 — Wine country

Santorini's volcanic soil produces crisp Assyrtiko wines. Spend a lazy day visiting two or three wineries inland around Pyrgos and Megalochori, the island's prettiest villages.

Days 6–7 — Beaches & farewell

Trade the cliffs for the black-sand beaches of Perissa or Kamari, then a final sunset back on the caldera. If you married here, this is the moment it all sinks in.

Practical notes

May, June and September are ideal — warm but less crowded than peak August. Hire a driver rather than self-driving the narrow roads, and book sunset dinners well in advance.
